When most people feel fatigued, they think that it is caused by exhaustion that may have occurred due to mental or physical activities. In some cases this may actually be true. Sleep apnea keeps you waking up repeatedly throughout the night. You may not even realize that you are doing this. However, if you wake up tired despite having slept for hours, you should consider the probability that you may be suffering from this condition.
Other causes of fatigue include kidney failure, liver disease, poor mental health, cancer and many others. The use of antidepressants for a long period of time may also cause fatigue. Seeking medical attention is advisable if you start experiencing fatigue more frequently. A doctor will carry out tests to identify the cause of fatigue and then administer the necessary treatment.
